Beijing Time AM10:45 23rd JULY, the Long March-2D rocket successfully launched out from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center. Four satellites, including GalaxySpace Lingzhi 02-03 and GalaxySpace Lingxi-03, had launched into LEO.The star trackers providing on-orbit services for the Lingzhi 02/03 satellites come from China famous small satellite supplier TY Space Technology .
Developed by GalaxySpace, the Lingxi-03 is the first flat-panel satellite in China which has a flexible solar wing,and is also equipped with an active thermal control fluid circuit and a millimeter-wave multi-beam digital payload that has a capacity of tens of gigabits per second.
The Lingxi03 satellite is designed to verify a next LEO broadband communication system and other satellite technologies, including an ultra-large energy system, the active thermal control,the integrated molding structure, and the technology for express & release the pile-up satellites etc..Its launch also marked the first in-orbit verification of stackable satellites launch technology in China.This technology will support the rapid deployment of large-scale LEO communication satellite constellation and contributed to speed up the development of satellite internet for China.
The Lingzhi 02 satellite is equipped with a high-resolution broadband multi-spectral camera, and the Lingzhi 03 satellite is equipped with a medium wave infrared camera. Through orbit design, a variety of remote sensing data with different characteristics can be obtained, which can give play to their respective advantages while making up for each other’s shortcomings.These satellites will provide data support for emergency management, mine resources, smart agriculture, new Energy development, and digital economy.
